Everything holds its own beauty.
But what each of us finds beautiful is our own. So rather than judging what is good or bad, I want to be a medium — a way for the subject itself to be truly seen.
The more it leaves out, the wider it opens.
A photograph holds only a single point. Its connections, and the scenery beyond the frame, are left for the viewer to imagine.
Moving between people, nature, and architecture, I photograph from a base in Kyoto. I prefer to stay just behind the camera rather than in front of it.
